Community outreach and service:
Back in 2008 we were contacted by some representatives from the Phoenix Children's Hospital asking if they could borrow a rivet gun to repair a piece of equipment. Instead of lending them the tool our production manager and a technician went to the hospital to assist in the equipment repair. About a week later we received a call from another representative at the hospital thanking us, and letting us know that we helped save a lot of young lives because the piece of equipment that we helped fix was their blood platelet machine. At the end of 2008 our production manager put together a small in house collection to raise money to buy toys for the kids at the hospital for Christmas. About a year later, at the beginning for 2010, Phoenix Children's Hospital came to us again, asking if we could come up with an idea to help secure their Nintendo Wii game consoles for the children, because they have been getting stolen from the facility. Being touched by the story, and with the help of some other local businesses providing the hardware, we designed and built 3 "Wii Carts" to make the systems portable and secure from any further theft.
In 2010 we worked with members of the Phoenix Fire Department and provided them with a facility to conduct vehicle extrication training in. We provided food and helped answer any questions regarding vehicle assembly or restraint systems. The turnout was tremendous as we had close to 80 fire fighters from as far away as 100 miles, to take part in utilizing the latest and greatest first responders vehicle extrication equipment.
